Oh god! We finally lay down to relax. We had escaped our work schedule. After a couple of beers and smokes, we relaxed down. ‘Are you sleepy?’ she broke the silence. I replied negative turning my gaze from the ceiling towards her; I rolled my hand on her waist and pulled her close. Our friendship was taking a new leap and with every passing second and we were accepting it with open arms. Within a very less span of time we grew so thick, so close to each other that anyone would misunderstand us as a couple in love. Last few days were very vital in getting us so close. Not only mentally but physically we were so comfortable with each other. This was the first time I pulled her so close to me, we were again doing what we were best at – gazing into the galaxy of each other’s eyes. ‘What?’ she again popped up a question. I started caressing her back and grinned back. She smiled at my response and rolled her hands on my waist holding my back. Our body yearned for a hug; we both read it correctly and hugged each other, very tight hug. Retracting back I kissed her on her cheeks. I was still holding her by her waist and I loved it this way. No matter where we were, if we were together I would always hold her by waist. We had few small talks about our blooming bond. Every talk would end with staring each other and then hug, ending with a kiss on cheek, forehead etc. Few talks did end on an emotional note, when she used to change the side to hide her emotions, but I persistently pulled her back close to me, closer than before. Pecks grew deeper, intense and sloppier. Words stopped flowing; now eyes were doing the talking. Nose fights and I could feel the soothing warmth of her breathe on me. Gazing her eyes I murmured ‘I love you’, to which she replied ‘You always say this to everyone’ in dismay. I quickly disagreed. ‘But is it the same that you say to her?’ she cleared the smoke from the question, eagerly expecting a reply. I shook my head and asked her permission, “Shall I prove it?” She nodded and I could see the twinkle in her eyes. This blue eyed fairy took me on a flashback of the entire last decade. The lightning of memories struck in my eyes and I leaned forward to place my lips on hers and set off on a quest...
